Tata Communications starts IoT Marketplace in India

Indian digital infrastructure provider Tata Communications announced the launch of an IoT Marketplace in India. This is a first-of-its-kind initiative in India, meant to strengthen and accelerate the country’s growing IoT ecosystem.

The Marketplace is supposed to bring together IoT practitioners and enterprise customers on one platform, allowing customers to tailor their IoT solutions and drive innovation within their business, and enabling vendors and partners on the platform to discover market opportunities.
Analyst Frost & Sullivan expect the Enterprise IoT market in India to grow at a CAGR of 35% through 2023, which means, that the market will quadruple by then. There is a large number of solution providers and system integrators already, but Indian enterprises have not been able to fully leverage all opportunities presented by IoT. Standardization, interoperability and connectivity in the IoT market are still missing. Tata hopes, that their single solution will be able to help scale IoT adoption in India.

The IoT Marketplace aims at bringing together partners from device manufacturers, software developers, start-ups and system integrators to deploy and manage IoT solutions. The solution-set will be offered by Tata Communications and it’s partners in the ecosystem – underpinned by Tata Communications’ pan-India infrastructure and platform.
The IoT Marketplace will enable customers to choose from a range of offerings and services on a plug and play model, enabling them to leverage IoT solutions to address their custom requirements.
