Couch Potato : Keeping track of sitting around

With our live running on Internet speed, it might be nice to have an app that keeps track of all the time you spend doing absolutely nothing. At least that’s what the makers of the App Couch Potato believe. Billed as the world’s first sit-tracker, the smartphone app tracks how little you move every day. The more time you waste sitting on your couch, the more levels you advance, and you even get to unlock and redeem rewards along the way!
The idea is a marketing gag for Burrow, a New York-based startup that manufactures and sells modularly expandable living room furniture, with comfortable sofas made from made from safe and environmentally-friendly components and delivered direct to homes without the usual retail markups.

We’ve long struggled with couches that are either cheap and flimsy, or heavy and expensive. They require a team to move, are complicated to put together, and inevitably won’t fit into your next space,

says Stephen Kuhl, one of the founders of Burrow and maker of Couch Potato, who proudly claims his sofas to be their couches would be ergonomically perfect for multi-hour Netflix binges. And his partner, Kabeer Chopra, adds:

That’s why we’re building clever, comfortable furniture for your life and living room.
